Financial advisor or money coach. Which one is right for you?

Recently, a few potential clients have asked me this question:

“Are you a financial advisor?”

I'm not. And let's clear up the difference.

Financial advisors are for people who already have money to invest. They help grow assets, build investment strategies, and manage portfolios.

And here's something most people don't realize. Most financial advisors have minimums. You often need $100,000, $250,000, or more in investable assets just to work with them. For many firms, that number is closer to $500,000 or even $1,000,000.

So if you're sitting there thinking, “I don't even have savings yet…” you don't need a financial advisor. You need a money coach.

Because financial advisors don't work with you on your monthly spending, your debt, or how to actually create savings in the first place. They're not sitting down with you going line by line through your spending, helping you figure out why your account hits zero every month, or helping you clean up credit card debt and build your savings cushion.

Right now, 67% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, many carrying debt and still wondering where their money is going. So they think they need a financial advisor, when really they need help getting control of their money.

This is the work I do. I look at exactly where your money is going, build a plan for your spending that actually fits your life, create space for savings, and put a clear strategy in place to pay off debt.

If you've ever thought, “I should probably have more to show for how much I make…” you're not looking for a financial advisor. You're looking for a money coach.

If you're curious if this is the right kind of support for you, you can book a free call and we'll look at your money, your goals, and see if my program makes sense for you.
