The part of changing your money no one talks about
You know what to do. So why is actually doing it so hard?
Everyone talks about doing the work.
Make the budget. Pay off the debt. Build the savings. Stop overspending. Look at your numbers. Follow the plan.
But there is so much focus on what you need to do without acknowledging what happens inside your body when you actually try to do it.
Because you decide, Okay. I'm doing this differently.
And suddenly you're exhausted. You avoid the thing you promised yourself you were going to do. You feel anxious. You get overwhelmed. You start doubting yourself. You want to scroll, shop, eat, sleep, quit, distract yourself or go right back to what you were doing before.
And then comes the conclusion:
See. I really am bad with money.
But I want to ask you a completely different question:
Where did you learn the patterns you are living today?
Where did you learn to avoid when something felt scary? Where did you learn that making a mistake wasn't safe? Where did you learn to people please, shut down, control everything, numb out or stay small?
And maybe the most important question: Why did you need those strategies in the first place?
Because they weren't random.
At some point, they helped you feel safer. They helped you navigate a world where you had fewer choices, fewer resources and less control than you have today.
And now you're asking that same nervous system to walk straight out of everything it knows and into a completely different life.
To look at the money instead of avoiding it. To make the decision instead of waiting. To say no when you normally people please. To pay off the debt and not recreate it. To stop living paycheck to paycheck. To actually believe you can have the big, beautiful life you keep saying you want.
That is a nervous system leap.
And of course it can feel hard.
The fear might come. The anxiety might come. The exhaustion might come. The discomfort might come.
The goal isn't to wait until all of that disappears before you move. You learn how to do the thing anyway.
You acknowledge the pattern. You understand why it exists. You learn how to create safety while choosing something different. And then you practice that new choice again and again until this starts becoming familiar too.
It's not just a plan. It's a becoming.
And this is exactly why I created the Financially Empowered Inner Circle.
I don't want to hand you another financial plan and send you on your way. I want you to have a place to do the work while you're becoming the woman who can live the life you're working so hard to create.
Every week, we come back to it. We look at what's happening. We work through where you're stuck. You take action. You get coaching, accountability and support. And you're surrounded by other women who are doing their own version of this work right alongside you.
